Admissions

We are a popular, oversubscribed primary school and admit 60 children into our reception each year (we do not have nursery provision at Gidea Park).  

 

In 2024, the Local Authority asked us to take two additional bulge classes, increasing our admission numbers to 90 in two year groups only. As of the academic year 2025/26, these cohorts are in Year 4 and Year 5. When these classes leave the school at the end of KS2, admission numbers wil revert to 60 in each year group.

As a Local Authority school, we follow the Havering Admissions Policy which is available in full on the Havering website.

The Havering School Admissions Team manage the in-year application process on behalf of Gidea Park Primary School, alongside all other schools in Havering. You must therefore apply following the process set out on the Havering In-Year Admissions page.

Tours

We hold school tours annually in the Autumn Term for prospective Reception parents to visit our school – dates are published on the website calendar and on our home page. We look forward to meeting you at these sessions.

If you child is joining us mid-year, please contact the school office to arrange an informal visit.

Applications for Reception and Secondary School 

Applications for starting Reception in September 2026 must be made online via www.eadmissions.org.uk between 1st September 2025 and 15th January 2026. National offer date is 16th April 2026.
