Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils. For more information, please visit the DfE Website.
Eligibility for this funding allows children access to two things:
- Free School Meals throughout their time at school;
- Funds which are made available to the school which can be used to support pupils' academic and wider development.
The school uses these funds for a number of things, ranging from devices which can be loaned out to support home-learning, educational resources, in-school interventions, financial support with extra-curricular and residential visits, and subsidies to allow children to access extra-curricular clubs both within and outside of the school day.
For any more information about the above, please contact the school's PP lead, Mr Smith, via the school office. In order to apply for Pupil Premium, please visit the Havering website here; if you need any help with the application process, please contact the school and we will be happy to assist.
