After a nailbiting time in the group stage where the girls thought they had made an early exit from the competition, a playoff for a spot in the final went their way leading to a fanastic performance and 2-1 defeat of fellow finalists Nelmes. The Year 5/6 girls had the honour of representing Havering at the London Youth Games. They gave their all in each of four very tight games, proving themselves more than a match for the best school in each borough they encountered. A full set of results can be found here - unfortunately the team did not qualify from what was a very closely fought group, having come incredibly close to winning the first game which would have seen them through to the knockout stages. The team acquitted themselves admirably on and off the pitch, showing courage, tenacity and sportsmanship throughout and embodying the school's Core Values at all times. We are very proud of their achievements and hope that all the team members go on to achieve great things in the world of football!

Athletics

Cross Country

In October, our Year 5/6 cross country team competed in the Havering Competition against 20 other primary schools. Both boys and girls teams ran very well, each coming in 6th place of the 21 participating teams.

A special congratulations should go to Lucie in Year 6, who came in second place out of over 100 girls, qualifying for the London Youth Games.

Sportshall Athletics

In November, our Year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics team competed against local schools in a number of track and field events. The team put in an impressive performance, coming in second place on the day.

In February, our Year 3/4 team took part in their event, finishing in an impressive third place.

In March, our Year 2 had their Sportshall event and came out winners on the day! Congratulations to all the Year 2 team..

London Youth Games

After her impressive performance and second place finish in the Havering Cross Country event, Lucie in Year 6 qualified to represent the borough in the 2022 London Youth Games, the largest annual sporting event in Europe.

Our Year 5/6 girls' football team also qualified to represent the borough as the top school in Havering, facing teams from other London boroughs. The team's performance did the school and the borough proud; results can be seen above.
