The School Day

In the mornings, children from Y2-6 will be greeted at either the front or back gate by members of staff, from where they are expected to make their own way to class. Year 1 children may also make their own way to class if parents wish for them to do so; if, however, you wish to walk your child to the classroom door then please use the front gate to do so. No parents will be allowed entry or exit via the rear gate. Reception children should be brought into school via the side gate next to the school office.

In both Key Stage 1 and 2, English and Maths lessons are taught daily, where possible in the mornings. English lessons cover a range of discretely-taught areas including Phonics (KS1), Handwriting, Grammar/Punctuation/Spelling, Reading and Writing.
